Research on a wide variety of local topics can be conducted at the Historical Society by appointment.  Available hours vary each week, although Tuesdays and Fridays are currently the best days for research.  The Historical Society is not a circulating  library, so researchers should expect to take notes and be ready to pay a small fee for photocopies.   We always accept donations for our services.

  Administrative Office
At least one staff member is generally in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  from Monday through Friday to answer questions or to assist the public.  Yet sometimes the office is unattended because of an off-site meeting or illness or staff is working with volunteers or members of the public.  So please call ahead to 708-848-6755 if you are interested in visiting the Historical Society to ensure someone is available to help you.  Please leave a voicemail message if we are out of the office and we strive to return calls as soon as possible.
