On Sunday, Sept. 19th, the Trolley Tour Returns

See 24 Homes of the Famous and Infamous of Oak Park & River Forest
 

What do Twinkies, Homer Simpson, "The Big Tuna", and rap music have in common?   To find out, join noted local history expert and raconteur, Doug Deuchler, on an entertaining 90-minute trolley tour through the streets of Oak Park and River Forest.   

You will visit the exteriors of two dozen former homes of our most Famous and Infamous and hear the compelling stories about these legends who once walked the streets of our villages, including:  

... Ray Kroc, the entrepreneur who introduced McDonald's fast food to the world

... "Three Fingered" Jack White, a loyal member of Capone's gang who is now believed to be the mastermind behind the St. Valentines Day Massacre who later met his demise in his Oak Park apartment

...Kathy Griffin, comedian and Red Carpet Celebrity who is known best for her life on "The D List"   

... Percy Julian, the scientist whose invention saved the lives of countless sailors during World War II

plus many, many more surprises

Two tours are scheduled for Sunday Sept. 19; the first at noon and the second at 2:30 p.m.  The tours start at Pleasant Home, located at 217 Home Ave. (the corner of Pleasant Street and Home Avenue) in Oak Park.
